Did you ever wanted to program directly on your iPad or iPhone and make games with really big pixels? Well, probably not, but you should give it a try anyway! LowRes Coder is here now to make it possible!
While I developed it, I was a bit scared that Apple might reject it. They have this line in their guidelines: “Apps that download code in any way or form will be rejected”
My app doesn’t download code (yet), but you can copy it from somewhere and paste it into the editor of the app. Later I found other programming apps on the app store, but some of them compiled and executed your code online and just showed the results on screen. So that didn’t help me too much neither.
Two weeks ago I finally sent my app to Apple. When it changed its status to “In Revision” I got excited. And then they let me wait three more days! So they checked it quite deeply I guess. Anyway, end of the story, they published it and I can go on. I have a lot of ideas for new features!
